Celebrating the Diversity of Our Community — 21st Annual Bronx Health Fair provides health education while celebrating our community.

Bronx residents are gearing up to celebrate the 21st anniversary of Urban Health Plan’s Fiesta San Juan this Saturday, June 18. The annual health fair raises awareness about health resources needed to combat health challenges facing many Bronx residents and the medical and social services offered by Urban Health Plan (UHP), the network of community health centers based in the South Bronx.  Fiesta San Juan attracts nearly 3,000 participants each year.

UHP departments bring their services out into the community for the day and provide interactive health education in a uniquely decorated kiosk that represents this year’s theme “Celebrating the Diversity of Our Community”.

A parade of all UHP departments kicks off the day’s activities at 10:45 am beginning at the Hunts Point Avenue train station at Bruckner Boulevard, and travels down Southern Boulevard and into the kiosk area at West Farms Road. Attendees enjoy free health screenings, live music, activity area for children, health education, insurance enrollments, and great giveaways.
