Eileen Enny Leach, MPH, RN, is currently the Chief of Staff for Urban Health Plan, Inc. She has over 20 years of clinical and administrative management experience and over 20 years of pharmaceutical industry management.
She began her clinical career as a registered nurse at the Columbia- Presbyterian Medical Center in New York and has been associated with Columbia University since 1972 including having served as the Executive Director of the Clinical Trials Office for both the University and Hospital; the Departmental Administrator for the Dermatology Department at the College of Physicians and Surgeons; and Director in the Dermatology Faculty Practice and a Coordinator of Dermatology Clinical Research.
Eileen started her pharmaceutical career in 1988 as a Clinical Research Coordinator and later as a Senior Regulatory Associate for Roche Dermatologics, a division of Hoffmann-La Roche, Inc. In 1994 she returned to Roche as the Deputy Administrative Director for Clinical Research and was appointed Director of Clinical Investigations (Phase 3B and 4) for Roche Laboratories in 1995. From 1997 through 2002 Eileen was the Medical Director for Dermatology, and later was the Vice President for Regulatory and Medical Affairs for Merz Pharmaceuticals, in Greensboro, NC.
She is one of the founders and a charter member of the Dermatology Nurses‘ Association, and served as the Association’s 1994-1995 President. She has authored numerous peer reviewed journal articles and book chapters and lectured extensively on dermatology clinical care, risk management, and leadership.
Eileen has a master’s degree in Public Health from Columbia University in Healthcare Administration and Finance.
