At Urban Health Plan, we are proud to be among our nation’s Community Health Centers (CHCs), providing vital care every day to people who are underserved, uninsured, and too often face barriers to accessing care.
Here are the facts:
• CHCs serve 52 million patients across the U.S. and its territories.
• This includes more than 6 million people who are uninsured.
• CHCs account for just 1% of total U.S. health care spending.
• The federal funding that makes this care possible expires January 30, 2026.
Without action from Congress, access to care for millions of families is at risk.
